Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (OR RN) for a travel assignment in Clovis, New Mexico. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant, with BLS and other certifications as needed.

The assignment is 13 weeks long, 40 hours per week, with dayshift. Travel nurses can expect a tax-free stipend and a pay package based on 8-hour shifts. TotalMed RN supports weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license required and 2+ years of acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients pre- and post-operation.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain communication between patients' families and operating room team.
• Prepare instruments and equipment for procedures; monitor patient during surgery.
• May perform RN first assistant duties as assigned.
