Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse in Clovis, NM for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, with potential RN First Assistant duties. Start date 09/28/2026; 40 hours per week, 8-hour days.

Travel employment with tax-free stipends may apply. Responsibilities include assisting in the OR, providing pre-/post-op care, patient education, and ensuring correct procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse.
• BLS certification required; additional certs may be needed.
• Travel assignment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and patient education.
• Handle instruments and equipment within assigned role (circulating/scrub/FA).
• Monitor patient during surgery and report complications.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the right patient.
