Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse to support surgical cases in Silver City, NM. This role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant duties.

Expect 9-hour day shifts, 32 hours weekly, travel employment, and a tax-free stipend details to be confirmed. Responsibilities include assisting the surgical team, providing perioperative care, and educating patients before discharge.

Qualifications

• RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Potential RN first assistant.
• Certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS) may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Monitor patient during surgery and communicate with the operating team.
