Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Travel RN in the Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Clovis, New Mexico. The role is 40 hours per week with a 6:30 AM start and a Monday–Friday schedule, involving floating between departments within a 20-mile radius.

Candidates must hold an active RN license in NM or a Compact state, have at least two years of large OR experience, and be able to scrub. BLS is required; Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a Compact state.
• BLS certification required through recognized provider.
• Minimum two years of current experience in a large OR.
• Must be able to scrub in OR and support team.
• Prior travel assignment history preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Provide clinical supervision to LPNs and non-licensed staff as needed.
• Complete unit education and competency testing; work in a fast-paced environment.
