Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience in circulating or scrub roles, with possible RN first assistant duties.

Expect 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and travel status for immediate start. Responsibilities include supporting perioperative care, medication administration, patient and family education, and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse; RN first assistant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Monitor patient during surgery and respond to potential complications with the physician.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and operating room team.
