Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with General Surgery OR expertise for a travel assignment in Maryland. The position features a rotating day shift schedule and on-call shifts, with required Cerner charting experience and a strong background in diverse surgical specialties.

Candidates must have an active MD or compact RN license, BLS, and at least two years of recent General Surgery OR experience. Prior travel nursing and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Active MD RN license or Compact license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of General Surgery OR experience.
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.
• Recent experience: 2 years within the last 7 years.
• Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Two supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years.
• Driver's license required at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule with alternating start times (0645-1515 and 0645-1915), 40 hours per week.
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays.
• On-call shifts required, up to 5 per 6-week schedule, covering 7a-7p or 7p-7a.
• One 12-hour buddy call orientation shift within first two weeks, weekend.
• Cerner charting system experience required.
• Scrub and circulating RN duties across multiple specialties.
• Experience with robotics and endoscopic procedures valued.
