Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring general surgery experience and MD/compact RN licensure. Shift options include 8- or 12-hour flex shifts, with on-call demand and weekend coverage.

Candidates should have travel nurse experience and Cerner charting familiarity. Da Vinci Xi and Mako systems are used; local candidates within 60 miles may receive lower rates. First-time travelers are not eligible.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in MD or compact license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of general surgery experience
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within last 7 years
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Two supervisory references required
• Must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and scrub duties across multiple surgical specialties
• Administer blood and blood products and monitor conscious sedation
• Monitor cardiac status and wound management
• Follow infection control, laser safety, and radiation safety protocols
• Perform universal protocol (time-out) procedures and specimen handling/labeling
• Scrubs are provided
• Participate in weekends and on-call rotations as required
