Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Bellevue, NE. The OR RN will prepare the OR, assist in surgery, and collaborate with the surgical team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready for each procedure
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery while ensuring comfort and safety
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies
• Monitors the patient's condition during surgery and documents significant changes
• Handles instruments with proper sterilization and disposal
• Manages specimen collection, labeling, and transport per facility protocols
• Documents all aspects of perioperative patient care accurately
• Participates in handoff communications pre- and post-operatively
• Restocks and cleans the OR between cases following turnover protocols
• Collaborates with the team to ensure policy compliance and safety
