Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Omaha, NE. The OR RN will support perioperative care, prepare the OR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required qualifications include 1 year OR RN experience, active RN license, and current BLS. Preferred certifications like CNOR, ACLS/PALS, and other licenses may be required depending on the facility.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and supplies for each procedure
• Assists in positioning patients and ensuring comfort and safety
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols
• Anticipates team needs and supplies instruments and equipment quickly
• Monitors patient condition and documents changes during surgery
• Handles surgical instruments, sterilization, and waste disposal per protocol
• Manages specimen collection, labeling, and transport
• Documents all perioperative care accurately
• Participates in handoffs and continuity of care
• Cleans and restocks OR between cases and adheres to turnover standards
• Collaborates with the team to ensure policy compliance
• Follows safety rules and PPE guidelines
• Performs other duties within scope of practice
