Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in West Burlington, Iowa. This OR RN opening requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, and may include circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant responsibilities.

The position offers a 13-week duration, 35 hours per week, and 10-hour day shifts. Travel employment includes a tax-free stipend; ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications are required with potential for additional certifications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, or RN first assistant.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required; additional certifications may be needed.
• Travel assignment in West Burlington, IA with 13-week duration.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and surgical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and operating team.
• Support instrument handling and equipment prep for procedures.
