Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating and/or scrub RN, with possible RN first assistant duties in some cases.

Travel RN duties include patient care, instrument handling, and education, with responsibilities across circulating and scrub roles as needed. Pay is based on shifts, with a tax-free stipend potential.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required or in process.
• 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub RN.
• Potential RN first assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Prepare instruments and assist in procedures as applicable.
• Maintain intraoperative communication with the team.
