Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel Nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment in Fallon, Nevada. Start date 10/26/2026; 40 hours per week, days shift, travel employment.

The OR RN will prepare the OR, manage equipment, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality perioperative care while adhering to safety and infection control standards. Benefits include comprehensive medical coverage and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies
• Positions and prepares patients for surgery ensuring comfort and safety
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes
• Performs appropriate handling of instruments, sterilization and disposal per protocol
• Manages specimen collection, labeling and transport per protocol
• Documents patient care in the perioperative setting accurately
• Assists in patient handoff between pre- and post-operative phases
• Supports turnover by cleaning and restocking the operating room
• Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure policy compliance
• Follows hospital safety rules, PPE usage and infection prevention measures
• Performs other duties within the scope of practice
