Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Urbana, Illinois. The RN will work 36 hours per week on a 13-week contract in the operating room, supporting perioperative care and patient education.

Requirements include 18 months of acute care surgery experience, an active RN license, a nursing degree, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Travel benefits and housing options are provided by the agency.

Qualifications

• 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Active RN License in good standing.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Act as patient educator, circulating nurse, and/or scrub nurse.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
