Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse to support the operating room in Crestview, FL. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating and/or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant duties.

Travel assignment details include a 13-week duration, 40 hours per week, and 10-hour days. You will assist surgical teams, provide perioperative care, and support patient education before and after procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse.
• Possible RN first assistant responsibilities may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Prepare, administer and record medications; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Communicate with patients’ families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Educate patients and families on home care needs.
