Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the OR - Operating Room in Arlington, TX. This 13-week travel assignment offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour days, and a supportive clinical team.

As an Operating Room RN, you will prepare the OR, handle instruments, position patients, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with the surgical team to deliver safe, high‑quality care. Requirements include one year of OR RN experience, a valid RN license, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS or CNOR

Qualifications

• One year of recent Operating Room RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures sterile instruments and supplies are ready.
• Positions and prepares patients for surgery with safety and comfort in mind.
• Maintains sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs, provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and communicates with surgeons.
• Handles instruments and waste following facility protocols.
• Documents all perioperative patient care accurately.
• Participates in handoff communication pre- and post-operatively.
