Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel Operating Room RN for an assignment in Austin, TX. This 13-week travel role offers 40 hours per week, daytime shifts, and comprehensive benefits through a national travel nurse program.

The OR RN will prepare the OR, manage instrumentation, and collaborate with the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• BLS (AHA/ARC) certification on file.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and prepping for surgery.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control throughout procedures.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and provide instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitor patient status during surgery and document changes for the surgeon.
