Job summary

TotalMed RN in Miami, FL is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week assignment. 40 hours per week, days shift, travel status. Requires 1–2 years of acute care as circulating or scrub nurse, with RN first assistant possible. ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

The role supports surgeons and OR staff, providing pre- and post-operative care, patient education, and instrument handling. Must be able to lift and stand for long periods in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and OR staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and patient education.
• Handle instruments and assist with procedures; monitor patient during surgery.
