Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Dover-Foxcroft, ME. You will provide perioperative care, prepare the OR, manage equipment, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of OR experience, a valid RN license, and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS or CNOR are preferred. This travel role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and dedicated clinical support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with sterile setup and equipment for each procedure.
• Assists in patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Maintains sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team as needed.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and communicates changes.
• Handles instrument sterilization, disposal, and specimen transport per protocol.
• Documents perioperative care accurately and completely.
• Participates in handoff communication before and after surgery.
• Supports turnover and restocking of the OR per policy.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and PPE usage.
