Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Portland, ME. This role involves preparing the OR, assisting with patient positioning, and ensuring sterility while collaborating with the perioperative team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with required instruments and sterile supplies.
• Position and prepare patients for surgery ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Anticipate needs, provide instruments and support to the surgical team.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and document changes.
• Handle instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocols.
• Document all aspects of perioperative patient care.
• Participate in handoffs and continuity of care.
• Assist in cleaning/restocking the OR between cases.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and PPE guidelines.
