Job summary

Healthforce Healthcare LLC in Boston, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for a travel assignment starting 10/05/2026 for 14 weeks. Shifts are 12 hours with 36 guaranteed hours per week. This role requires flexibility across multiple surgical services in a hospital setting.

Local rate considerations and dedicated assignment support are provided. On-call and holiday/weekend coverage are part of the assignment, with opportunities to float as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inpatient OR experience; level 1 trauma experience preferred.
• Scrub experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Competent in at least five of the listed surgical service areas; adapt to a multi-specialty OR environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume OR setting and communicate effectively with the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients across multiple surgical specialties.
• Scrub and circulate in the operating room; maintain sterile technique and assist the surgical team.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; assist anesthesia and respond to intraoperative events.
• Document patient care activities, equipment usage, and postoperative handoffs.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia; participate in turnover and room readiness.
• May float to another OR area as needed; comply with on-call and weekend/holiday coverage.
