Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume OR setting and communicate effectively with the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients across multiple surgical specialties.
• Scrub and circulate in the operating room; maintain sterile technique and assist the surgical team.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; assist anesthesia and respond to intraoperative events.
• Document patient care activities, equipment usage, and postoperative handoffs.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia; participate in turnover and room readiness.
• May float to another OR area as needed; comply with on-call and weekend/holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients across multiple surgical specialties, including general, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine
• Scrub and circulate in the operating room, maintain sterile technique, anticipate instrument needs, and assist the surgical team throughout procedures
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; assist anesthesia and respond to intraoperative events with composure and clear communication
• Document patient care activities, equipment usage, and postoperative handoffs; ensure patient safety and adherence to best-practice protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, circulating staff, and post-anesthesia care to optimize outcomes; participate in turnover and room readiness
• May float to another OR area as needed to support service lines; comply with scheduling requirements including on-call and weekend/holiday coverage
