Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in the OR to support a rural care facility in Fortuna, CA. The assignment includes circulating duties in the PACU, recovery care after anesthesia, and involvement in endoscopy procedures.

On-site orientation is provided, and clinicians may float to nearby facilities as needed. Requirements include active CA RN licensure plus ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications and at least 1 year of OR/PACU experience, including endoscopy.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year OR circulating and PACU experience; endoscopy experience required.
• Willingness to float to nearby facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist in PACU for OR cases; manage perioperative supplies and sterile technique.
• Provide recovery nursing care post-anesthesia with monitoring and vitals.
• Assist with endoscopy procedures: positioning, setup, monitoring.
• Monitor cardiac status and respond to perioperative emergencies per protocol.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretary.
• Document care in Epic or other charting systems.
