Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Petoskey, Michigan. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living and work skills.

The ideal OTA has 1 year of experience, current BLS, and NBCOT COTA certification with state licensure. Expect 8-hour days, travel requirements, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of OTA experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• NBCOT COTA certification.
• State licensure required.
• Ability to lift patients and use adaptive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
