Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an assignment in Adrian, Michigan. The OTA will work under an OT to help patients improve daily living skills in a clinical setting.

Requirements include 1 year of OTA experience, BLS, NBCOT(COTA), and state licensure. The role involves delivering therapy, documenting progress, and collaborating with a care team for patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Ideal candidate must hold a current BLS and NBCOT (COTA).
State-specific licensure is required.

Responsibilities

Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
