Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Washington, DC. The OTA works under an OT to implement tailored treatment plans and help patients of all ages achieve independence in daily living and work-related skills.

Responsibilities include delivering activities, monitoring progress, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with the care team. A 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week and 8-hour days is available; state licensure and

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
• State-specific licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance and progress per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on daily living techniques.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and professional standards.
