Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support patients of all ages in developing, improving, or recovering daily living and work skills.

Responsibilities include delivering interventions under an OT's supervision, tracking progress, documenting performance, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care. 8-hour day shifts with benefits and opportunities for ongoing CEUs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a COTA.
• BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
• State licensure required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of anatomy and OT principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions under an OT's supervision; monitor patient progress and document performance.
• Assist with exercises and mobility; educate patients and families.

Role Overview

The position is for a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) responsible for supporting patients of all ages in developing, improving, or recovering daily living and work skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, monitor patient progress, document performance, assist with exercises and mobility, educate patients and families, maintain treatment areas, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure compliance with licensing and professional standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a COTA, current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, state licensure, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of anatomy, motor functions, and occupational therapy principles is essential. Ability to lift and assist patients safely is required.

Additional Details

The role involves 8-hour day shifts, with a focus on providing quality patient care in a team environment. Certifications beyond the basics may be required prior to assignment.
