Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant Journey Traveler to deliver impactful rehab services across varied settings nationwide. This role requires travel for 13-week assignments and close collaboration with supervising therapists.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited OTA program, hold NBCOT certification, and be licensed or eligible to practice. The position includes mentorship, ongoing CEUs, and potential visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program per AOTA/ACOTE standards.
• Initial NBCOT certification is required.
• Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure in practicing state.
• Must be able to travel and reside outside primary home as needed.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments as an OTA Journey Traveler.
• Attend patient care and staffing conferences as a representative of occupational therapy.
• Deliver rehab services per established plan of care with timely documentation.
• Collaborate with rehab team to develop patient programs and activities.
• Instruct patients and families in OT treatment techniques under supervision.
• Maintain timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Report equipment needs and coordinate repairs as necessary.
