American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Level II Trauma Center in Bradenton, FL. The role covers both acute care and inpatient rehab units with weekend flexibility and 1+ year of experience.

The ideal candidate holds an active OT license, BLS, and a willingness to work on the IRF unit. Strong clinical reasoning and teamwork are essential for this high-volume rehab department.

Qualifications

• Stroke/neuro experience preferred
• Willingness to work on the IRF unit
• US SSN and date of birth required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days in past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Rehab Services department serves the whole hospital, including a 28-bed IRF and a 383-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
• No night shifts available
• Patient ratios: 4 on IRF unit, 8-12 in acute care
• Two therapy gyms and an ADL apartment available for treatment
• Meditech EMR used
• Minimum 1 weekend shift per month, with more weekend flexibility preferred
• Rotate holidays with hospital employees
• Team of 15 OTs (full-time, part-time, PRN)
• Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning
• Participate in team conferences and family training
• Use adaptive devices/equipment in treatment
• Best suited for flexible, collaborative team players
• 15 OT staff across shifts
• Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies

• Minimum 1 weekend shift per month required, with increased weekend flexibility highly preferred
• Scheduled in accordance with facility policy, including rotating holidays with hospital employees
