Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for an outpatient clinic in Minnesota. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of pediatric outpatient experience, plus BLS and applicable OT license. New grads with COTA pediatric exposure may qualify.

Expect 38.5–40 hours/week, with Fridays required and potential 4-day options. Clinical duties include PDMS2, BOT2, VMI, and Sensory Profile assessments, with family education on sensory dysfunction.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute care, outpatient clinic, and pediatrics.
• Experience administering/interpreting PDMS2, BOT2, VMI and Sensory Profile assessments.
• Experience treating sensory dysfunction and educating families.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient pediatric clinic setting.
• Day shift 7:30am–6:00pm, Monday–Friday.
• 8–10 hour shifts, totaling 38.5–40 hours per week.
• Fridays required; 4-day options may be considered.
• Clinic hours Monday–Thursday 7:30am–6:00pm and Friday 7:30am–4:30pm.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Work with pediatric outpatients with diverse diagnoses.
• Holiday coverage as needed.

• Skilled in administration and interpretation of PDMS2, BOT2, VMI, and Sensory Profile assessments
• Experience treating sensory dysfunction, including family education

Responsibilities

• Outpatient pediatric clinic setting
• Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm
• Shift length of 8-10 hours, totaling 38.5-40 hours per week
• Fridays are required, though a 4-day schedule may be considered
• Clinic hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30am-6:00pm and Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
• Epic experience preferred
• Work with pediatric outpatient patients presenting a wide variety of diagnoses
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no time off during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of consideration
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live more than 25 miles from the facility
• Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Minnesota fingerprinting required in person within 48 hours of signing, completed on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date
