American Traveler is seeking a Travel Outpatient Occupational Therapist for a hospital-based assignment in Napa, California. The role is a 13-week travel position, 40 hours per week, with a day shift from about 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

You will handle a varied outpatient caseload including neuro, orthopedic/hand and some pediatric patients. Requires 1+ year outpatient acute care experience, BLS, and OT license; Epic EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license required; compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care outpatient experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and pediatric outpatient populations preferred.
• Experience with splinting, ultrasound, and adaptive equipment assessment preferred.
• 2 references covering 1 year of supervisory experience within the last 3 years required.
• SSN and DOB required for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation, treatment planning, discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Home exercise programs, lifting and transfer techniques, and safety/injury prevention education.
• Treat conditions such as CVA, traumatic brain injury, arthritis and orthopedic injuries.
• May involve prosthetics/orthotics and upper extremity rehabilitation.
• Travelers may float between sister facilities and cover weekends as needed.
