• Housing provided (1-bedroom, may be shared); pets not allowed.
• First-time travelers considered; local candidates not accepted; 50 miles minimum distance.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Occupational Therapist for a Critical Access Hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and the flexibility to float between outpatient, acute care, and long-term care units.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• NBCOT certification required
• Alaska state license required
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Critical Access Hospital with 40 staffed beds
• Outpatient Occupational Therapy unit, with floating to Acute Care and Long Term Care/swing bed as needed
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• No weekend requirements
• No call requirements
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Any scrub color accepted
• Provide outpatient therapy services with occasional coverage of acute care and long-term/swing bed units
• May be required to float between sister facilities in the surrounding area
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates not accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• Facility-provided housing available, typically a 1-bedroom apartment that may be shared with another traveler
• Pets are not allowed in provided housing
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
