Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a rural critical access hospital in Western Montana. You will work across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings with orthopedic and geriatric patients.

Schedule is day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with weekend rotation every 3rd weekend. Epic EMR is used for charting; no on-call requirements. First-time travelers are welcome, with local candidates encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience.
• BLS certification required.
• MT OT license required if applicable, can be obtained after offer.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Experience in orthopedic care including hip fracture, total hip replacement, knee injuries, and total knee replacement.
• Skills in home exercise programs, lifting and transfer techniques, and patient/family education.

Responsibilities

• Rural critical access hospital providing inpatient, outpatient, and minimal in-home therapy.
• Majority of patients with orthopedic or general geriatric conditions, with occasional TBI/CVA/PD cases.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend.
• Epic EMR used for charting.
• No on-call requirements.
• Provide therapy across acute care, adult outpatient, and adult rehabilitation settings.
• Perform assessments, evaluations, discharge planning, and reassessments as part of care plan.
• Facility is a critical access hospital with 15 staffed beds serving Sanders County residents.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position.
• Local candidates accepted.
• RTO limited to a maximum of 6 days.
• Free traveler parking available on-site.
• Located in rural Western Montana near Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, and multiple ski resorts offering quiet small-town living.
