Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an Occupational Therapist — General for a travel assignment in Canaan, Connecticut. The position starts on 12/01/2026 for 13 weeks with a 35-hour work week, and shifts from 08:00 to 16:30 in a long-term care nursing home setting.

Weekly pay ranges from $2,130 to $2,260, with onboarding and credentialing support plus 24/7 travel assistance to ensure a smooth start on assignment.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut OT license.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Provide and supervise OT services to improve ADLs, mobility, and cognition.
• Implement therapy sessions, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed.
• Document progress in medical records and communicate findings with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate residents and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and safety strategies.
• Ensure care complies with regulations and facility policies.
