Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for Severna Park, Maryland. This 13-week assignment offers 30 hours per week, with 8-hour daytime shifts in acute care settings. NBCOT-OTR and BLS certifications are required.

The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and work with families and facilities to support daily living skills. Travel roles provide weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OT experience; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with state licensure.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history, observe patients performing tasks, and assess condition.
• Develop and document plan of care with goals and activities to improve daily living.
• Evaluate home or work environments and propose improvements.
• Educate family and employer about patient care and accommodations.
• Document progress for patient evaluations, billing, and physician reports.
