Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for an immediate assignment in Mount Clemens, MI. The 13-week travel role involves 40 hours per week, daytime shifts, and a focus on evaluating and creating plans of care for diverse patient populations in acute care. Requires BLS, NBCOT-OTR, and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of OT experience; new grads considered.
• NBCOT-OTR certification and BLS with state licensure are required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and perform skilled tasks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop a plan of care to improve daily living skills.
• Provide therapy in acute care settings.
• Educate patients’ families and employers on care and equipment.
• Document patient progress and maintain compliance with guidelines.
• Review medical history and assess home/work environments for safety.
