Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Baltimore, Maryland. The OT will perform evaluations and develop plans of care for patients in the acute care setting, focusing on improving daily living skills.

The role requires 6 months of OT experience (new grads welcome), BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensure, and includes 30 hours per week on 8-hour daytime shifts as a travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of OT experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• BLS certification and NBCOT-OTR with state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Help patients with various disabilities perform tasks.
• Evaluate home or workplace for potential improvements.
• Educate family and employer on care accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and teach use of equipment.
• Document activities and progress for evaluations and reporting.
• Provide timely documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
