American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN to join the PACU team in Burlington, Vermont. The position requires high-acuity critical care experience, pediatric expertise, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Epic EMR proficiency within the last 2 years is mandatory.

The assignment is 40 hours per week with 10-hour evening shifts (start times 10:00 and 12:00), and some Saturdays. Travel and licensure reimbursement, comprehensive benefits, and per diem support are provided.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with high acuity critical care skills, including pediatric experience, for a teaching hospital assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and recent Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a large teaching hospital's Post Anesthesia Care Unit
• Care for post-anesthesia patients across all age groups, including pediatrics
• High acuity patient population requiring management of art lines, multiple titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring
• Works with Epic EMR; Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
• 10-hour evening shifts with start times 10:00 and 12:00, including some Saturdays
• Holiday and weekend coverage is required
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required due to lack of public transportation; all-season or snow tires recommended November through April
• Responsibilities include the full scope of post-anesthesia care for diverse patient populations, focusing on critical care needs
• Infusion specialty experience is preferred but not required
• No block scheduling is permitted
• COVID and Flu declinations are accepted with proper documentation
• Personal vehicle or rental with appropriate tires is necessary due to region and weather conditions

Requirements
