American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Start Date: 01/19/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 36 hours per week. Shift: 12 hours, rotating. Employment Type: Travel.

Responsibilities include caring for high-acuity post-surgical patients across multiple specialties, managing lines and drains, and adapting to a fast-paced PACU environment. Active NH/compact license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years
• Must have experience with high acuity or ICU/PACU settings
• Familiarity with art lines, central lines, vasoactive and sedative drips, and management of chest tubes and trachs required
• No local candidates allowed; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility

• Work in a high acuity, high volume PACU setting
• Care for post-surgical patients from a variety of specialties including vascular, general, thoracic, gynecology, neuro, orthopedic, and transplant
• Care includes managing ventricular drains, art lines, central lines, vasoactive and sedative drips, chest tubes, and tracheostomies
• Regularly manages overnight boarders including ICU craniotomies, step-down, and med-surg patients
• Day/night rotation with variable start times: 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, and 1900
• Manage a dynamic environment characterized by high patient volume and acuity
• Evening shifts can be fast-paced and require strong organizational skills
• Must be able to care for complex post-op patients including those with neuro and vascular needs
• Dress code requirements: scrubs
