American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for PACU in Wichita, KS. The assignment is 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour evenings in a level 1 trauma center. Must hold KS or compact RN license and current AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS, plus NIHSS.

Responsibilities include postoperative recovery for cardiothoracic, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, burn, pediatric, and general surgical patients, with on-call duties nights, weekends, and holidays. Local candidates benefit from radius-based pay rules.

Qualifications

• Active KS or compact RN license is required.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year PACU or relevant recovery care experience.
• Primary source license verification and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.

• Work in a 16-bay Surgery Recovery Holding unit within a level 1 trauma center.

• Perform phase 1 post-anesthesia recovery responsibilities.
• Rotating 8-hour evening shifts from 14:30 to 23:00, Monday through Saturday.

Responsibilities
