TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fairbanks, Alaska. The role requires SANE experience and AK licensure with BLS/ACLS, and includes housing and on-call duties as described.

The position is a travel assignment in Med Surg, starting on 11/08/2026 for 16 weeks, at 36 hours per week with night shifts. Candidates must have dual certification and be prepared for shifts and rotations in a high-demand setting.

Responsibilities

SANE-Sexual Assault Nurse Exam
Experience Requirement: 2+ years of RN experience including 1+ recent year of experience as forensics RN having held SANE certification
New graduates accepted? No
License/ Certification Requirement: AK license, BLS, SANE and SANE-P through ENA, ACLS. If candidate doesn't have active AK certification at time of submittal, will need to apply within 24hrs of acceptance

Client Specific Notes: Free housing for 1 occupant, Pet units are not available. Up to 14 days of RTO may be requested including maxx of 4 weekend shifts. All RTO must be requested at time of submittal. Candidate's permanent residence must be 50+ miles outside of Fairbanks.

Weekend Requirement: Required for on-call
Holiday Requirement:Per unit's needs
Floating Requirement: Will float between hospital and Child Advocacy Center (5 min drive from hospital). Candidate must have reliable transportation.
On-Call Requirement: typically every 5th weekend on-call and 1 full week of call outside working hours rotating between staff
