Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California requiring active CA licensure, BLS, and advanced neonatal resuscitation certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Epic EMR is used in this facility
• Duties include providing nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk cases
• Compliance with team protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff is expected
• Travelers cannot exceed two years of total assignment within the health system without a 90-day break
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum one year of recent (within the last three years) full-time Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS certification
• Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
• Preferred: Five or more years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (within the last two years)
• Preferred: One year of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the last two years
• High risk OB experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
