Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position available in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The role involves providing specialized care during high-risk deliveries, functioning as a Baby Nurse during delivery, and caring for newborns until transfer to postpartum. The position requires adaptability to float between units and campuses, supporting various obstetric and neonatal patient populations.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum 48 hours per week, with shifts posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license with a compact license in hand at submission; 1 year of experience in labor and delivery; high-risk obstetric experience; BLS certification; NRP certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
• Float: Float to postpartum, antepartum, NICU, or other units as needed; float rotation may be required to other campuses within the healthcare providers system.
• Additional Information: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring, high volume obstetric procedures, and working in high acuity environments is valued. Responsibilities include assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, neonatal assessments, administering medications such as Pitocin and magnesium sulfate, and supporting obstetric patient care. Candidates must have the ability to circulate for high-risk deliveries and function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing newborn care including assessments, injections, and initial stabilization.
