Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department professional opportunity in a high-volume, high-census facility. The position involves managing high-risk obstetric patients with a focus on postpartum care, including procedures such as cesarean sections, episiotomies, and postpartum hemorrhage management. This assignment offers flexibility in scheduling and length, with options for 13 or 26 weeks, tailored to traveler preference.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, with options for 3x12s or 4x12s shifts per traveler choice.
• Required Qualifications: Valid State License with a Compact license in hand at submission; BLS and NRP certifications; minimum 2 years of experience in high acuity obstetric care; experience with magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, Foley catheterization, postpartum hemorrhage, vaginal deliveries, and postpartum treatment preferred; EPIC Electronic Medical Record experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Substance withdrawal management and JADA experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required at Issaquah Campus (Postpartum) and Edmonds Campus (Postpartum, Labor and Delivery for second hour of recovery).
• Additional Information: Candidates must be able to handle high census surges and manage a census of up to four couples. Experience with high-risk obstetric procedures such as magnesium sulfate therapy and postpartum hemorrhage is essential.
• Assignment Duration: Starting 10/19/2026 and ending 01/18/2027.
• Staffing & Scheduling: Candidates must be flexible to work during peak hours, including 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
• Submittal Requirements: Must include responses regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, with at least 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
• Additional notes: Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may lead to termination.
• Responsibilities involve managing high-risk obstetric patients, ensuring adherence to safety procedures following SOPs, and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams.
