Overview

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per week: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Employment Type: Travel
• Unit: LD - Womens Health & OB Services
• Certs Required: BLS, NRP, Intermediate or Fetal Monitoring
• Experience Required: 3 years experience. Cervical exams, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IV starts/management, Pitocin, baby catching/receiving, APGAR, basic breastfeeding education. Need to be comfortable with all aspects of post-Partum care from transition to discharge for mom and baby.
• Circulate C-section cases, level 2 L&D care, post partum, vaginal checks
• RN staffing ratios: 1:1 Laboring, 1:2 Active Labor, 1:3 Couplets
• Patient Types: 32 weeks and above
• Majority of patients are lower risk
• Conditions commonly managed: hypertension, magnesium administration, medication management for substance abuse, epidurals, elevated BMI, diabetes
• Post-delivery care continues in the same room
• Post-women’s surgeries (preferred experience)
• Floating: None
