Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking an experienced registered nurse specializing in cardiac surgery to provide expert intraoperative support for CABG, valve replacements, and heart transplants in open-heart procedures. You will maintain aseptic technique and manage CPB setups with cardiovascular technology, responding rapidly to emergencies like massive hemorrhage or arrest.

Required: RN license with a nursing diploma, at least 1 year in acute care, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• RN license and diploma from accredited program.
• At least 1 year acute care RN experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: >1 year acute care exp and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Scrub or circulate for complex cardiac surgeries.
• Ensure sterile environment and manage specialized equipment.
• Assist with intraoperative emergency procedures.
• Manage intraoperative technology including cell savers and bypass monitoring.
