Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Richmond, Virginia. The travel NMT will work 40 hours per week, with a day shift and the opportunity to contribute to patient imaging and radiopharmaceutical administration.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT certification, BLS, and state licensing as required. The role includes preparation, patient positioning, scanning, safety, and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required.
• ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT certification required; state licensing when applicable.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain required approval/signature from nuclear medicine physicians.
• Position patients and prepare for procedures.
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera.
• Inject radiopharmaceuticals under radiologist supervision.
• Assist patients during procedures.
• Ensure safety and proper radiation disposal procedures at all times.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Utilize McKesson PACS system.
