Job summary

TotalMed Allied is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. The technologist will work 40 hours per week, 8-hour days, for a 13-week duration, performing imaging procedures under radiologist supervision.

Requirements include 1 year of experience, BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT certification, and any applicable state licenses. Travel benefits are included as part of TotalMed Allied’s recruitment package.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT.
• State-specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians.
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures.
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera.
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures.
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
