American Traveler is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, California. The assignment is 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts, lasting 13 weeks and 1 opening. Requires 1+ year experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification; CA license if applicable.

Weekend call is required, with possible float to sister facilities nearby. Knowledge of Siemens equipment and comprehensive bone, brain, liver, renal, thyroid and lung scans, including SPECT

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
• Daily caseload of 5-12 patients
• Procedures are primarily basic studies, with most volume from stress tests
• Includes bone, brain, liver, renal, thyroid, and lung scans, along with SPECT imaging and cardiac stress testing
• Utilizes Siemens equipment
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Schedule open to 4x10hr, 5x8hr, or 3x12hr day shifts with variable start times of 0600 or 0730
• Weekend call required
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
• BLS, ARRT or NMTCB certification required
• California state license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic experience preferred
• Skills in bone scans, myocardial studies, adenosine and persantine infusion, pharmacological stress testing, and exercise/rest protocols
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Additional experience in ER, adult ICU, and PACS systems preferred
• Sentinel node procedure experience preferred
• Must submit full SSN and DOB for compliance
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including dates and location if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Returning staff may be considered after a 3-month break and must live outside 50 miles of the facility
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application, with approval based on facility needs
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Scrubs provided for OR and L&D roles; navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• Free parking available on-site
