American Traveler is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Avon, Indiana, 40 hours per week, dayshift, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The role involves bone, myocardial, renal, liver, lung, thyroid, HIDA, MUGA, and brain imaging using Siemens equipment.

Cerner charting is used, with potential cross-facility float. The qualified candidate has 2+ years in Nuclear Medicine, CNMT/NMTCB certification, BLS, and Indiana or Compact license if applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
• BLS certification required.
• CNMT or NMTCB certification required.
• Cerner charting experience required.
• IN or Compact license required if applicable.
• Experience with IVs and venipuncture.
• Two supervisor references required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures such as SPECT imaging and organ-specific scans.
• Conduct cardiac stress testing and other cardiac/organ studies.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• May float within the hospital or to affiliate hospital as needed.
• Royal blue scrubs color required.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting in the Nuclear Medicine department
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Cerner charting system used
• May float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby based on need
• Performs procedures including bone scans, myocardial and ventricular studies, renal and liver imaging, lung scans, thyroid studies, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, and brain scans
• Utilizes Siemens equipment including Spectrum DSpect

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine
• BLS certification required
• CNMT or NMTCB certification required
• ARRT(N) certification preferred
• IN or Compact license required (license required if applicable)
• Cerner charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Experience with drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and handling radioactive materials
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Two supervisor references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved, with additional time requiring facility approval
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates residing in Indiana are accepted
• Former perm or PRN employees of the health system must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Current or past travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment within the health system must take a consecutive break to reset eligibility, 90 days for out-of-state residents or 180 days for in-state residents
