Qualifications

• Experience with bone scans, myocardial studies, and renal function studies is preferred.
• Facility requires Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT and SPECT imaging in a Level 3 trauma regional hospital.
• Maintain IV access and administer radiopharmaceuticals as trained.
• Operate Siemens, GE, EVO, and SPECT equipment and document in Epic EMR.
• Ensure safety and compliance with radioactive materials handling.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of PET/CT, SPECT, and IV experience for a Level 3 trauma regional hospital.

Details

• Level 3 trauma regional hospital setting within the Nuclear Medicine department
• Adult patient population
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-4:30 PM (4x9 hours)
• Schedule may flex for critical staffing needs
• No on-call, weekend, or floating requirements
• Uses Siemens, GE, EVO, and SPECT equipment
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in PET/CT, SPECT, and IV procedures
• BLS certification required
• CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required (ARRT N preferred)
• NMTCB and PET certifications preferred
• Experience with bone scans, 3-phase whole body and limited imaging
• Experience with myocardial exercise/rest and pharmacological stress studies preferred
• Experience with renal flow/function and perfusion studies with LasixExperience with gastric emptying, HIDA scan, and thyroid uptake studies
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Knowledge of storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Experience with tumor localization and ventilation/perfusion lung scans
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers considered if required experience is met
• Grey scrub color required
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO not permitted during specified blackout periods including October 25-November 4, November 22-December 2, and December 20-January 3
• Flexibility for RTO may be considered for harder-to-fill positions
• Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose this during consideration
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
• Candidates must complete facility-specific training modules within the first week of assignment
